An Invitation to join North Shields Polytechnic Club

The North Shields Polytechnic Club headquarters and training ground is on the Churchill Playing Fields, Hartley Avenue, Whitley Bay. North Shields Poly is an Amateur Athletics Club specialising in Track & Field, Road and Cross Country.

The club was founded in 1903 as a walking club.

North Shields Poly welcomes applications from all people over the age of 9, including people with disabilities and those from ethnic minorities.

Training nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays at the following times:

                 Middle distance          18:30    19:30
                 Sprints/hurdles          17:30    18:30
Senior Group 1   Fast Group               18:00    19:15
Senior Group 2   Fast and Slower Groups   18:45    20:00

Fees vary according to age: £35 per year for over 18s, £25 per year for juniors, £50 per year for family membership and a reduced rate of £20 per year for student/associate members.
