Fairfield Horseshoe
With Will Robson, Katherine Davis and Scott Ellis in Wales on Inter-counties business, the Polyfellers competing at Fairfield took full advantage of their absence to score big championship points. Gary Robson and Rachel Carr took their first maximums of the season with the latter taking the lead in the ladies championship. Meanwhile, Mr Consistency, Chris Rowe was again second, a feat which saw him leap into the lead in the men’s championship. He was followed home by Jon Heaney, Mark Smith, debutant James Henin and Richard Hanley. ADDITIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FELL RACE – IDEAL FOR BEGINNERS
The next championship race, the Alwinton Three Tops race is on 11 June. This is a rather gruelling 14 miler but for those who don’t fancy it there is also a 10k race, the Kidlandlee 10k. This is the extra race and it is billed as ideal for novice fellrunners. All Poly runners will also score championship points championship points but these will start from the last finisher in the main race. i.e. if the last finisher in the Alwinton race scores 45 points, the first finisher in the Kidlandlee race scores 44, you get the idea I’m sure. Entries either on the day for £10 or £8.00 on line at https://www.sientries.co.uk/event.php?elid=Y&event_id=2701
