Poly Triathletes Kris Whitelaw, Paul Richardson, Christine Burns

Following the success of three Poly Triathletes- Kris Whitelaw, Paul Richardson and Christine Burns who have qualified for places in the 2017 European Triathlon Championships in Dusseldorf, Heather Lambert also represented Team GB at the World Sprint Duathlon Championships in Aviles Spain in June.  She won a bronze medal in 54-59 GB Age Group Team and is pictured below, 3rd from right holding a union flag.

And  yet more good news from the Poly Tri group (courtesy of Neil Dick).

The Poly now has two new Ironman triathletes. The quiet and reserved Mel George and the not so quiet and reserved Colin Brown both completed the Outlaw Iron Distance triathlon in Nottingham last Sunday. Very well done to both of them. Rather them than me. Full results do not appear to be listed yet but I believe will appear on the Results Base site. I hear a whisper that Colin’s next challenge is to be a double ironman…what else?

Working backwards and on Saturday the two Pauls, Richardson and Robertson, both completed Cleveland Steelman half iron distance with Richardson just pipping Robertson by a couple of minutes. This was the second time at the event for both of these athletes and I think both improved on last year. Pablo Samuel has posted a link to the results below.

And even further back to Sunday 17th a number of people represented the Poly at the QE2 sprint and standard distances. I know we had at least 2 podium finishes for Isaac Noble and Katherine Davis.
